Johnson writes as President, on White House stationery, to Scullin at the Staten Island Advance. He speaks of his partiality for the community newspaper. He goes on to say: " ... I must assure you that no collapse of any kind awaits this nation. Our long and unparalleled prosperity is only one sign that we are more capable than ever of turning our challenges into our achievements ..."
